Information management

Information management is the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences. This sometimes involves those who have a stake in, or a right to that information. Management means the organization of and control over the structure, processing and delivery of information (source: Wikipedia). Companies are better able to establish and nurture profitable customer relationships when they have a better understanding of what they want and need.

A CRM system gives users instant access to the right information and in doing so supports strategic business objectives as well as existing and new business processes.
